Interest Rates

Yesterday the Fed concluded their two-day meeting with rates unchanged.  They did offer some insights into their thinking and the direction of the market in the statement that “economic conditions are likely to warrant exceptionally low levels of the Federal Funds Rate for some time” and that “inflation pressures will remain subdued in coming quarters.”

The overall feeling for those of you considering refinancing is to wait because rates should be low for the rest of the year.  I have also remarked that we probably haven’t seen the bottom yet, with the caveat, at least that’s what I think today.
